Road Kills, 1990-98

Dog, Hume Highway, Near Albury, NSW, 1998

It is impossible not to note the carnage that exists on our highways–the path of the car is where the land is cut for the motor’s movement. On the verge is a life of chance. And order. This work is about honouring the creatures who are victims of our motor vehicles.

These images have been made by creating multiple prints, which are then assembled to create larger images with a sense of ‘disordered order’.
